Purpose of Product:

Advertising new leisure activities and ideas to do in your spare time

Content:

Each week we will have regular features including

-   Baby’s Day Out

-   Teen Swim (Holding competitions and tournaments

-   Agony Aunt page (embarrassing things that happened to people whist doing leisure activities such as swimming and rock climbing

-    Trips on offer for teenagers only; Including activities such as snowboarding, swimming and ice skating

-   Summer and spring camp; with many activities to enjoy

-   Family days out, with little parks for toddlers and mini picnics

Target Audience:

Our magazine is aimed at families with young kids, teenagers 13-17 and we include many activities for both these audiences. Also in this magazine we include a trip called ‘baby’s day out’ which is for family’s 

This is the proposal i created for the magazine project and this is basically a plan of whats going to happen in our magazine and it is a variety of ideas to put in the magazine.

This is the advertisement for the magazine project, as you can see it relates with the topic the magazine is based on (Lesuire) and it is well organised.

Type of Video/Radio programme/Magazine (delete as applicable)

It comes on every morning 9-10 and comes on in the afternoon 3-4.30 On Sundays it comes on at 8-9, there is a magazine which tells you what episodes are on and it also includes little puzzles and quizzes for the children.

Purpose of Product:
To entertain children of a morning and after school, and with each episode there’s always a moral at the end of it. 

Content:

Each week we will have different episodes with a moral at the end of each programme so it’s not only fun to watch but educational too.

-   First episode will be about Arthur and his friends getting into all sorts of sticky situations

-   Second episode will be about DW (Arthurs little sister) and her friends also including what each of them are scared of

-   Third episode will include their school life and hobbies, which will also include the audience as they will be able to send in their favourite hobbies and the best or most funniest ones we will use in our next programme

-   The episodes will keep changing throughout every 2 weeks. We will also create different episodes which include every occasion throughout the year

Target Audience:

Our programme is aimed at children aged from 5-12 year olds, and older if you want to watch it, but mainly for 5-12 year olds as it is on in the morning before they start school, and after school so they have something interesting and entertaining to watch.

This is my CBBC proposal on the programme arthur which i edited and sort of made it my own. I set it out in a font which makes it lookb professional and sophisticated.

This is a bit late to upload as this was created september last year; but this is my kelly rowland magazine cover which i have mastheaded and added text. I put the text around the body making sure it does not go over her face or on her neck. I also used coloured fonts that associate with the colours from the picture such as red and black.

EXT. BUS STOP – DAY

CARLY sits down at the bus stop. LAUREN sits next to her staring in to space not saying a word.

CARLY:

Are you alright?

LAUREN carries on staring, not saying anything. CARLY looks at her with a worried look.  LAUREN’S eyes fill with tears and start to roll down her face.

CARLY(whispers)

LAUREN are you sure you’re alright?

LAUREN finally answers after hesitating.

LAUREN (whispers)

CARLY

What’s happened?

LAUREN

Why do I always pick the wrong boys that want to hurt me?

CARLY (stands up and hugs Lauren)

LAUREN (starts to cry in CARLY’S arms)

CARLY

Come on lets go back to mine and you can tell me all about it

INT. CARLY’S HOUSE

CARLY

Sit down and I’ll get us a box of tissues

                LAUREN (mumbles)

           Ok

                CARLY

           Right tell me all about it

           Well I’m erm...

           (Looks confused) Go on spit it out

           (Looks down at floor) Well I think I’m pregnant

           Why do you think that?

           Well I keep getting morning sickness

           Well that could happen anyway? You can’t be! You never went               that far did you?!

LAUREN

           (Her eyes fill with tears again) Well it turns out I did

           Oh, and you didn’t think to tell me?

                LAUREN

           Well I was going too..

                CARLY

LAUREN I’m your best mate! You can tell me anything! I could of helped you? I could of gone with you to get the pill?!

This is my script piece about two friends and one of them are pregnant.

The tiger appeared at Katy and Russell’s wedding unexpectedly.  Bravely the security chased off the vicious lion. Husband Russell Brand generously bought wife Katy Perry a tiger as a wedding present, which wasn’t vicious or dangerous. Russell and Katy wished to keep their wedding ceremony private, but the magazine and paparazzi wanted to print the photos.  ‘OK’ magazine wasn’t allowed to publish the photos and Katy and Russell want to continue keeping the wedding private, and between themselves. Katy Perry gave her new husband a baby elephant as a token of love.  During their ceremony, they had an unusual fortune telling parrot. Katy Perry wore several outfits during the whole ceremony, showing off all the lovely dresses she had.

The wedding was reported to be the most, very authentic affair. The couple sat in gold wedding thrones, making everybody speechless. The husband and wife bought 1,380 cans of soft drinks and 5,000 bottles of water for the guests. All the wedding guests were the traditional wedding dresses.

To create this radio piece i used 'audacity' and sound editing; I made it so that music plays at the beginning and then starts to talk. i found some of this work easy but sometimes it was difficult to understand where to import and not import the sounds. i found the tools really easy to use.

This is a mood board representing what teenage boys and men in there twenties like and are into, i placed many images and then put them in different places.

To create this moodboard i selected a variety of images that would appear in a games magazine for people in there teens and twenties and placed them in different places.

To produce this mood board i used microsoft publisher, then i placed different images of pop music artists. I chose these artists because they are some of my favourites and very popular. These are quite young artists so i say this mood board would be aimed at teenagers or people in there twenties. i placed the images slightly tilted as i think it makes it look presentable and eye catching. It isnt completly finished but this is most of it.

1a) In the Photoshop tasks I developed many skills. I learnt how to mask images and where to place the writing. What colours and shades I should use, how to place images and how to put the rulers in the correct place. I done both Rihanna and Kanye West, in my Rihanna Photoshop task and I think my Kanye West cover was a lot better than my Rihanna piece because I had more time to adjust my mistakes, and I found that the picture was easier to mask, which made my work more presentable as I was able to take my time and mask around the head carefully.

1b) My In Design task, I done a three column layout, and a double page spread. I learnt a lot of things from this task and I now know how to make and present a double page spread and a three column layout. I know how to text wrap and place the writing in the correct place, I learnt how to place pictures and so on.

1c) In then writing copy task, I chose to do Katy Perry and I wrote 200 words about her and Russell’s wedding day. I found this task quite easy, but it was hard to remember everything. I didn’t really learn any new skills in this task as I’ve used Microsoft Word before.

1d) In the script writing task I learnt quite a lot as I’ve never wrote a proper script before, i learnt that by using the TAB key it makes your work stay in line and easier to read. I learnt that i have to write where they are and whether its day or night. I learnt that characters names have to be in capitals at all times.

2) My piece of work I enjoyed doing most was defiantly the script writing as I found it entertaining and a challenge. I also feel I learnt a lot more skills than I did in other tasks. We had a choice of either writing a script about a boy who’s cheating on his girlfriend, or a crazy cab driver taking someone home. I chose to do the girlfriend and boyfriend situation. I finished most of this task and I edited it too.

3) The skills I’m best at is probably masking because it was the first task we done and I’ve now got the hang of it. I am also quite good with the magic wand and quick selection tools because I also needed them whilst masking. I thought my script writing piece was quite good so i would say i have some good skills in that too, but I could do with a bit more practice.

4) I could use some skills in the future for example if I want to be a magazine cover designer and my skills from the Kanye West and Rihanna magazine covers would help a lot. I could also use my script writing skills if I wanted to be a script writer as I now know how to write a script with the appropriate layout.

5) The skills I need to get better at are how to produce a Double Page Layout and a Three Column Layout because I didn’t do so well on that task and needed quite a bit of help. But I can improve this by making my text boxes accurate sizes, and take my time and try not to rush through it, but I should leave myself a bit of time at the end to edit my work.

To produce this piece of work i used the wand to mask the image and i had to mask around kanye west's head and out the writing behind he's head.

To create this piece of work i used photoshop. i had to collect images off a website, place them and then mask them with the magic wand/ theb quick selection tool. then i labled it and gave each item a price. this was a page inside a magazine cover. I chose these items because they look well together and stand out. i made sure i used the correct tools.
